The Vice President, Automation NAM is the strategic and operational leader of the Automation business unit with full accountability for vision, roadmap, and P&L. This role will focus on integrating Automation technology with the Parcel Logistics business unit to maximize shared value in platforms, delivery, service, and go-to-market. The VP ensures seamless integration of automation technologies to enhance throughput, reduce costs, and improve service levels, leading cross-functional teams in engineering, operations, sales, and customer success to deliver scalable, innovative solutions aligned with Körber’s growth and digital transformation goals.
Your role in our team
- You will define and execute the automation roadmap for Parcel Logistics, aligning with corporate objectives and market trends.
- Champion innovation and digital transformation across warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery.
- You will identify and implement automation opportunities that enhance operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
- You will drive sales project execution and customer service in North America and partners with the Parcel Logistics business unit on bundeled offering and cross-selling opportunities.
- You will prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facility achievement by planning significant growth programs and cost-effective operations.
- You will oversee the companies' financial performance, investments and other business ventures.
- You will oversee deployment of automation systems (e.g., robotics, conveyor technologies, WCS/WMS) and ensure compliance with safety and sustainability standards.
- You will lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimize performance and reduce waste.
- You will develop and manage budgets, ROI analyses, and business cases for automation projects and investments.
- You will be instrumental in building and leading high-performing teams and service infrastructure to deliver large-scale automation projects and lifecycle support.
- You will cultivate strategic partnerships, including AMR collaborations, and explore new verticals and customer segments for growth.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor KPIs to measure automation impact on productivity, cost, and quality.
- You will champion the localization of Koerber's automation technologies, particularly Layer Picker and related systems, by adapting global solutions to meet the specific needs of the North American market.
- You will design and implement a robust, regionally based service infrastructure to support the full lifecycle of automation solutions. This includes installation, commissioning, maintenance, and customer support, ensuring responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
- You will implement Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) partnerships to drive top-line revenue growth. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through co-innovation, joint go-to-market strategies, and integrated solution offerings.
- You will identify and develop new verticals and customer segments for the automation portfolio. Use market intelligence and customer insights to tailor offerings and expand Körber’s footprint beyond traditional sectors.
- Lead long-term planning for automation growth, including investment strategies, technology roadmaps, and organizational design. Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.

Your profile
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, automation, or supply chain operations.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale automation initiatives in parcel or e-commerce logistics.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse automation technologies, robotics, and systems integration.
- Experience with global supply chain and multi-site operations.
- Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, and advanced analytics platforms.
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP are a plus.
- You are someone who dentifies and penetrates new end markets through customer-centric innovation, competitive analysis, and agile go-to-market strategies
- You are growth and delivery focused: sales and organic growth; project execution and customer service across corporate and SMB contexts
- You lead strategically: anticipating industry trends; defines and executes long-term automation strategy aligned to business goals, including product localization and expansion into new markets
- You are willing and able to travel approximately 70% (domestic and international).
