Global mCAD Process Owner
Your role in our team
You will be responsible for the strategic development, standardization, and global alignment of mCAD processes and tools across Korber Supply Chain (all business units and regions). This role acts as the central point of expertise for mechanical design processes, ensuring that best practices are shared and adopted, and that digital design capabilities support the company’s innovation, efficiency, and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Process Ownership: Define, maintain, and continuously improve the global mCAD process landscape in alignment with engineering strategies.
- Cross-Entity Alignment: Facilitate global collaboration across engineering entities to harmonize mCAD methods, tools, and data models, ensuring consistency and interoperability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between business units and OneIT to gather requirements, align priorities, and drive adoption of mCAD standards. In addition, ensure full E2E process alignment with other Global Process Owners.
- Tool Governance: Collaborate with OneIT to govern the lifecycle of mCAD applications including upgrades, integrations, and performance monitoring.
- Training & Change Management: Drive change management initiatives, provide guidance and training material, and support user communities to foster best practice usage globally.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure that mCAD processes support regulatory, quality, and data governance requirements.
- Benchmarking & Innovation: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to propose enhancements and future directions for mCAD capabilities.
Your profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a related field, providing you with a strong cross-functional understanding of both business and technical aspects
- 5+ years of experience with mCAD tools and processes, preferably in a global or multi-site engineering environment.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional or global process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required
- User knowledge of ERPs (SAP is a plus)
- Familiarity with digital engineering concepts (e.g., digital thread, model-based definition) is a plus
