Your role in our team:
As an R&D Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of new products and solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, and implement automation solutions that enhance our portfolio of products and development of new ones.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing equipment and processes.
- Develop and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) and human-machine interface (HMI) programs for automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize PLC and HMI code for optimal system performance.
- Select appropriate sensors, actuators, and control devices for automation projects.
- Ensure seamless communication and integration between different components of the automated system.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and production teams, to ensure successful implementation of automation projects.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners for the procurement of automation components.
- Conduct thorough testing of automation systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety.
- Validate automation solutions through performance analysis and optimization.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including system specifications, schematics, and operating manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in existing automation systems.
- Promote and encourage the incorporation of new technological trends to enhance product performance.
- Design the architecture of the solutions taking into account the project specifications.
Your profile:
- 3 - 6 years of experience in similar positions.
- Degree in Electrotechnical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Preferably, with programming experience (Tia Portal Siemens)
- Proficient in PLC programming languages.
- Experience with HMI programming and interface design
- Strong understanding of control systems, motion control, and industrial automation technologies
- Familiarity with different communication protocols used in industrial automation
- Eplan is a plus
- MS Office
- Applicable Standards and Regulations
- English
