Senior Hub Manager - Engineering & Global Business Services
Your role in our team
As Head of Hub, you lead and further develop our engineering and shared services hub in Portugal. You oversee the established hub in Lisbon and support the continued expansion of operations in Porto, with a current focus on resources for parcel logistics and automation.
You act as legal and disciplinary manager for the local teams and ensure the hub operates in line with business priorities, governance standards, and economic expectations. In this role, you combine leadership, operational excellence, and international coordination in a dynamic and growing environment.
- Own and manage the hub budget and ensure alignment with business priorities and governance standards
- Support resource planning, organizational growth, and local cost management in line with business demand
- Ensure the hub operates in line with economic expectations and strategic priorities
- Coordinate and steer compliance-related topics in collaboration with HR, Global Mobility, Tax, Legal, Payroll, and Finance
- Ensure workforce structures, employment models, and deployment setups are managed in a compliant and practical way
- Act as a key partner for global mobility, cross-border workforce deployment, and related governance topics
- Identify risks early, escalate where needed, and support pragmatic solutions within defined frameworks
- Drive local hiring decisions in close cooperation with recruiting and business stakeholders
- Build strong collaboration with HR, recruiting, and local support functions to ensure an effective talent pipeline
- Establish strong stakeholder relationships across Europe and globally and act as a central interface for hub services
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or a comparable economic field
- Several years of leadership experience in a shared services hub, engineering hub, or international matrix environment
- Proven experience in people leadership with legal and functional responsibility and in setting up business service hubs
- Experience managing budgets, organizational growth, and local business operations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international and multicultural environment
- Pragmatic, structured, and solution-oriented leadership style
- Fluent English skills; Portuguese is a strong advantage
