We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding Business Development Team. Key responsibilities include qualification of inbound web and email inquiries, following-up on marketing campaign responders and driving recruitment for corporate and regional marketing events within your assigned geography, and warm prospecting into target accounts. The position will require a high degree of self-motivation, organization, and analytical intelligence.

 

A successful BDR will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and a dedication to learning as much as you can about supply chain and order management software by building your business acumen and being able to articulate the value proposition and return on investment that our potential clients experience leveraging Körber Supply Chain Software technology. There is a defined growth path for successful BDR to be promoted into our quota-carrying, Account Management role and many team members advance into challenging roles ranging from Field Sales to Product Marketing and Field Marketing etc.


Your role in our team

  • You will create a positive first impression with our prospects and customers by providing them with a world class experience

  • You will complete initial qualification of potential sales opportunities for approval and assignment to a Territory Manager by C-Level and Leadership Team

  • You will maintain a sense of urgency and rapid response cadence in following up on all inquiries and marketing leads

  • You will conduct high level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts

  • You will partner with Sales and Marketing in your assigned territory on event recruitment strategies

  • You will assist with researching trends in your defined region and identifying new prospects

  • You will actively participate in and contribute to team learning opportunities and your own personal development

  • You will research and build new and existing accounts (i.e. adding contacts, sending emails, strategic calling)


Your profile

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in IT, Supply Chain or equivalent (required)

  • You have prior inside sales experience (preferred)

  • You have a minimum of 1+ years of corporate tele-sales experience, field sales or software sales (preferred)

  • You have experience in Retail, Wholesale, Manufacturing, or Transportation industries a big plus

  • You have experience and Knowledge of Supply Chain Solutions (OMS, WMS, TMS, ERPs etc.) (preferred)

  • You are proficient in English 

  • You have high ethical and moral standards. Körber is all about transparency and teamwork

  • You have a strong desire to be in technology sales

  • You have excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • You have good time management and ability to prioritize and execute to plan

  • You have strong problem-solving skills. “You have a gift for abstract thought”

  • You have high energy and positive attitude

  • You have the ability to take initiative

  • You have the ability to meet and exceed achievable targets

  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • You are motivated, driven and have a self-starting attitude; as well as a Team Player with a lot of self-awareness

  • You have CRM Experience (Salesforce, Outreach, Zoom Info…)

  • You have working knowledge of how to use key business applications (Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams, LinkedIn, Data.com etc.)
