The SAP Technical Account and Sales Support Manager is responsible for driving technical sales support, direct sales opportunity generation, solution architecture, and interim project management across SAP eWM engagements. This role manages post-sales account relationships, partners with clients during the tendering phase to develop tailored solutions, and leads project kickoffs from contract award through initial delivery phases. The position requires deep technical proficiency in SAP eWM and the ability to serve as a solution architect across SAP modules, blending client-facing sales engagement with hands-on project and delivery oversight.
Your role in our team
- Manage pre- and post-sales account relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for ongoing customer engagement.
- Provide technical sales support and generate direct sales opportunities at trade shows, industry events, and through client engagement.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions in the tendering phase.
- Serve as solution architect across SAP modules during tendering and sales to ensure cohesive and comprehensive solution design.
- Lead SAP eWM project kickoffs from contract award through initial project phases.
- Manage projects on an interim basis until a dedicated project manager is assigned.
- Monitor ongoing projects and support project teams as necessary.
- Travel internationally as required to support project and sales efforts.
- Represent Körber at industry trade shows, conferences, and client-facing events, including delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Lead or contribute to RFP/RFI responses and proposal development during the tendering process.
- Support pre-sales discovery and follow up by conducting technical assessments of client warehouse and logistics environments.
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and customer-specific safety procedures while working in warehouse or logistics environments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP eWM, including experience in technical sales support and project management.
- Demonstrated experience in technical sales support and client-facing engagement.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across sales, delivery, and account management functions.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP modules with the ability to serve as a solution architect.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing projects with international clients preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally, approximately 10% annually with higher frequency during project implementations and sales cycles.
- German or Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- Working knowledge of WMS, supply chain execution platforms, and related integration points (ERP, TMS, WCS, MHE) preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and related logistics modules beyond eWM preferred.
- Experience with proposal writing, RFP responses, or SOW development preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management tools preferred.
- Ability to deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences required.
