EHS Manager in Projects - fully remote possible
Your role in our team
The EHS MiP supports the business throughout the project life cycle to assure compliance with applicable internal and external EHS-related rules & regulations to prevent EHS-related hazards and risks. This includes supporting the PM or Site Manager in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting and continuous improvement.
Planning:
- Identifies EHS-related statutory requirements, rules & regulations and EHS aspects - depending on the country of project location.
- Performs risk assessments and defines mitigation measures.
Implementation:
- Develops EHS plan
- Supports PM and Site Manager to ensure that required EHS-related permits, authorizations, certificates are available, and authorities have been notified as necessary.
- Implements a training concept that fulfils all EHS-related training requirements.
- Reviews safe work method statements/risk assessments of contractors.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Conducts regular site inspections to identify risks and defines corrective measures.
- Provides regular EHS reports to the project and/or site manager also to the Occupational Safety Manager to ensure full operational transparency.
- Ensures all incidents are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are defined, implemented, and monitored.
Continuous improvement:
- Provides EHS-related requirements to the project procurement manager which are to be considered in the contractor selection.
- Evaluates contractors in terms of their EHS performance and provides feedback to project procurement manager.
Your profile
- Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) technical competencies as Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification, Safety Management Systems, Emergency Preparedness and Response as well as Personal Protective Equipment, Training and Communication and Accident Investigation and Reporting
- You are familiar with relevant OSH and environmental laws, regulations, and standards applicable to the industry or sector. This includes knowledge of EU directives and national legislation.
- Work experience in global projects and/or interdisciplinary teams.
- You have minimum 3 years site-related experience from industrial and/or construction business or similar.
- Excellent command of the English language is a must. A second foreign language is desirable.
- Your intercultural skills and flexibility have been proven in your career up until now and you are prepared for international travel.
- Your profile is rounded by a methodical approach, teamwork, initiative, commitment and endurance.
