The primary objective of this position is to achieve sales targets by developing sales pipeline opportunities, assessing customer challenges and requirements, supporting competitive and attractive layout solutions for automated systems, and defining winning strategies to convert pipeline opportunities to project backlog. The solutions will encompass Körber products such as ASRS machinery, Layer Picker, AMRs, AGVs, 3D pallet shuttle, and case-handling solutions, as well as third-party machinery such as package conveyors, stretch wrappers, and print-apply systems. This position will collaborate with the solution design team to discuss and identify system solutions and technologies that create unique selling propositions and differentiate Körber solutions within the market.

 

Your role in our team

  • Prospecting new business via existing customer base, industry networking & discovery, and utilizing in-house software lead generation apps
  • Ability to understand customer challenges, operations, processes, and budget requirements to support solution development and opportunity conversion strategy
  • Collaborate with the solution design team to develop comprehensive solution cost models and end-user business cases aimed at winning conversion opportunities
  • Manage and maintain client relationship management information
  • Provide executive updates on sales funnel progress, win strategies, opportunity forecasts, and alignment with annual sales targets
  • Developing sales proposal documentation outlining solution, value proposition, and end-user investment
  • Collaborating with the legal team to review and negotiate contract terms
  • Prepare project handover documentation and lead handover of sold projects to the execution team

 

Your profile

  • You have obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. 
  • You have gained 3-5 years of experience selling material handling technology products and project solutions
  • You understand material handling technology offerings to support solutions and a unique selling proposition
  • You have sales experience in the warehouse and automation markets (consumer product goods, third-party logistics, pharmaceutical, etc.)
  • You have experience developing sales proposals and presentations, and navigating and understanding contract documents
  • You have a proven track record of pipeline development, conversion, and product & project sales success in the material handling space
  • You have experience entering and maintaining opportunities in CRM software, specifically Salesforce
    Ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including C-suite, design engineering, operation leadership, and more
  • You can travel up to 75%
