As our Director of Pricing, you will be responsible for developing and embedding stronger pricing capabilities and discipline across Koerber Supply Chain Software. You will roll out key global pricing projects with global responsibility for software pricing and packaging and support local implementation of pricing practices and the global deal desk. This position requires collaboration with finance, product marketing, marketing, and sales teams, both at a local and global level. Key markets covered will include the US, UK, and Germany, and the role can be based in any of these locations.

 

Your role on our team

  • You will evaluate, refine and oversee the implementation of new pricing models, strategies, and practices designed to maximize revenue, cross-sell, up-sell, and customer long-term value
  • You will build a leading pricing function at Korber, with the processes, tools & systems, and performance management to help Korber achieve key growth and performance objectives, including driving a higher ASP (avg. sale price) through strategic and tactical approaches to execution
  • You will conduct and facilitate quantitative research and analysis to optimize price levels, discounting policies, pricing metrics
  • You will identify opportunities to change pricing or packaging to increase value capture
  • You will partner with Product Owners, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and regional leaders to establish pricing programs and practices
  • You will set up and facilitate Pricing Committee and maintain a record for the Committee of all pricing decisions and rationale “Deal Desk”
  • You will provide expert guidance to Sales in the areas of deal structuring, pricing, and sales enablement
  • You will contribute insight to process improvement, efficiencies, and automaton to Salesforce
  • You will collaborate with finance to analyze and develop pricing metrics and dashboards

 

Your profile

  • You have 7+ years of experience in strategic and tactical pricing areas
  • You have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
  • You have deep pricing experience, ideally from B2B software/ SaaS
  • You have familiarity with key analytical pricing techniques (benefit/value map, pre-approved discount level, deal waterfall, mix/volume impact)
  • You have experience with financial / pricing software solutions and analytical tools including Tableau, PowerPivot, Advanced Excel, NetSuite, and/or the ability to recommend and implement innovative solutions that enable strategic pricing processes and capabilities
  • You have broad commercial experience and acumen
  • You are analytically curious, establishes an analytical culture, and a data- and market-driven approach to decision making
  • You have international experience, language (English fluent, German would be an advantage)
  • You are a self-starter, can roll up your sleeves, and are comfortable working as part of a geographically dispersed team
  • You command respect and are persuasive and influential – can stand “toe to toe” with Sales leaders and Executives and influence with knowledge, confidence, and experience using data-driven recommendations with experience-based influence
