The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, cross-functional projects aligning with project requirements and client expectations. This role will lead project teams, manage budgets and timelines, and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. 

 

 

Your role in our team

  • Defines project timelines, manages scope and budget in collaboration with stakeholders 
  • Oversees full project execution lifecycle from initiation to closure
  • Analyze the project budget and create a forecast of expenditures that support the schedule and scope.
  • Create and maintain a detailed project schedule in MS Project, track activities and use this data to forecast resource demands for the project.
  • Identify scope changes, determine impact and initiate conversations with the customer about these impacts. This includes developing a cost and schedule impact.
  • Partners cross-functionally with internal teams including engineering, sales, EHS&S, finance, contract management, and customer service 
  • Acts as the principal contact for all client-facing communications and technical documentation 
  • Leads risk management efforts by identifying, assessing, and mitigating project-related risks 
  • Manages project budget and schedule, proactively managing deviations to maintain financial and operational integrity 
  • Conducts performance reviews and lessons-learned analysis at key project milestones and closure 
  • Ensures safety compliance in collaboration with site managers and environmental teams.  Coordinate with the Site Safety Manger to see that all safety reports and metrics are completed as required.
  • Manages all project meetings, including documentation, status updates, and stakeholder communications, including customer updates and coordination meetings.
  • Oversees specification and contract compliance with third-party vendors and suppliers 
  • Provides technical leadership by translating contractual requirements into deliverables for engineering teams.
  • Leads all project related procurement, working with Supply Chain Procurement, tracks all materials and works with the installation to see that all equipment is received and inventoried.
  • Maintains quality assurance standards across all project phases, including tracking of lessons learned and recommendations for future projects. 
  • Supports issue resolution by leading escalation paths across departments 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

 

 

Your profile

 

  • Capability to manage large scale project scope, schedule, and budget in the warehouse and distribution industry
  • Understanding of system integration project execution processes and execution interdependencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and client management capabilities 
  • Exceptional project planning and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate and get tasks accomplished through indirect reports. Adaptability and change management skills, flexibility, versatility, and comfort level for working with multiple individuals and personalities.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and lead, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, MS Office suite) 
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen related to cost forecasting and resource planning 
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt strategies based on evolving conditions  
  • Effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills 
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement 
  • PMP or similar certification preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management roles 
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex technical projects in material handling, logistics, or automation systems 
  • Experience working in matrixed and multicultural environments 
  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred 
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
